Elizabeth Smart: “How pornography made my living hell worse”

elizabeth-smart-screen-shotMost of us remember the horrifying story of Elizabeth Smart.  On June 5th, 2002 she was kidnapped from her bedroom in Salt Lake City, Utah and endured nine months of “living hell” as she was raped and tortured repeatedly by her captor.  She was only 14 years old at the time and the fact that she survived those nine months of captivity is a miracle in and of itself.  With the help of an America’s Most Wanted episode, Elizabeth was rescued just 18 miles from her home in Sandy, Utah.

Recently, Elizabeth shared about her captivity, what she endured and the effects that pornography had on her living hell.  I challenge every parent to watch this video and then take every precaution you can to protect your children from the lure and grip of porn in their lives.  The statistics are becoming scarier and scarier about the ages of first exposure to porn.  Our enemy is not stupid!  He is cunning and crafty and will get his hooks in us and our kids any way he can.

HERE is a link to an article about Elizabeths story and you can watch the video below.  I also encourage you to check out the website “Fight The New Drug“.  They are the ones who produced this video.  Fight The New Drug is a great resource that is helping people break free from pornography, but also exposing the danger of pornography in our culture.
