Hey Element Church! Meet Kristen, this week’s Volunteer of the week. Kristen was nominated by Kristina, one of our Pastoral Assistants, who said this:
“Kristen is one of the 6pm Next Steps leaders. She always greets everyone with a smile and helps with any question that may be asked or connects people to someone who can help. Kristen is committed and willing to help wherever she may be needed. She takes absolute joy in connecting with others and being a part of bringing them closer to Jesus.”
Kristen has been attending Element since September 2012. Her husband Jared is the 6 PM teacher for Ignite. She is the owner of Charmed Skin and Lash Studio where she is an esthetician. She enjoys Crossfit and HIIT, camping, boating, volleyball, soccer, traveling, playing the violin, spending time with friends and family and weekends spent watching her kids play sports.
When asked why she serves at Element, Kristen said:
“I started serving at Element Church in December 2014, and absolutely love it. It’s so amazing seeing people open their heart and let Jesus in. Seeing people come in weary and leaving with a smile thanking us as they leave, it’s such a wonderful feeling. I love getting asked for a bible and next steps packet, it’s almost like they are asking with a sense of relief like there is hope on the horizon. I LOVE IT!
All the volunteers for all services are incredible. Seeing everyone come together to make sure all guests feel welcome from the moment they walk in the door until they leave is truly a rewarding experience. I have met so many people through Element not only with attending and volunteering but through small groups as well. I have attended about 6 separate small groups now and will continue as long as they keep offering them. Life is hands down better with Jesus and Element Church.”
