Episode 001: How can we come out of this season even stronger?

Episode 001 of the Naked Party Time Podcast is ready to consume. In this podcast, Sabrina and I talk about “How we can come out of this season even stronger.”

Today’s spotlight is on Hayley Laban, @hayleystorm16 on Instagram. Hayley did our amazing podcast artwork and is an incredible graphic artist.

Our country and the world have been living in crisis mode since mid-March. This season has taken its toll on everyone physically, emotionally, financially, relationally, and spiritually. Sabrina and I chat about how this season has affected us individually, as a couple, as a family, and talk about some things we’ve intentionally done that we hope will make us stronger on the other side.

It’s not too late to start some disciplines that can strengthen your body, mind, heart, and soul!

Key Quotes:
“You just being a great wife serves our church well. That as a senior pastor, I’m supported, lifted up and encouraged by my wife. That’s the best thing a wife can do for the church.” (Part of an answer to a listener question)
“Spend more time with Jesus on your good days cause you are really good need Him on your bad days and He wants to be there everyday.”
“I need God as much today as I do in the midst of or potential of tragedy.”
“I think it just shows how important community is, we need it in the good times too so we are not desperate for it in the bad times.”
“We might have been in the home together but we weren’t doing everything together. It’s not healthy for us to be together 24/7. If married couples  are gonna come out of this stronger, you actually need time apart.”
“Never stop dreaming. Dreaming helps you beyond the bad thing happening today. If you only focus on the bad thing happening today, you forget the possibility of what could happen in the future. Dreaming gives you hope. Dreaming keeps you focused on a better future.”
Scripture mentioned:
Lamentations 3:20-24 20 I will never forget this awful time, as I grieve over my loss. 21 Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: 22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. 23 Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. 24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”
