Hey Element Church! Meet Tyra, this week’s Volunteer of the Week. Tyra was nominated by John, our Children’s Pastor, who said, “Tyra continually impresses me with her maturity and leadership as she serves in E:KIDZ. From her first day of serving, she was quick to jump into the classroom, engage kids in the lesson and activities, and show them the love of God. I am thankful that these kids have a teenager like Tyra they can look up to.”
Tyra has been attending Element with her family since September 2017. She is a student at Central High School an enjoys playing soccer and going hunting. Her main passion is music, from composing songs to playing the guitar and piano to singing. She has also volunteered at outreach events like the Gas Buydown and the Back to School Bash.
When asked why she serves at Element Church, Tyra said, “I serve at Element Church because I want to share God’s love with everyone. I have come to realize just how much He loves each of us and how much He did for us. Serving at Element gives me the opportunity to share that with kids! Being able to serve in E:KIDZ makes me feel like I have purpose. It makes me feel amazing and blessed when I get to see how God is working in each of the kids that attend.”
Tyra, we are so thankful to have you serving in E:KIDZ! You are making a lasting impact—an impact we will never be able to measure—in the lives of these kids. What you do MATTERS!
