I’ve heard other preachers say this and I’ve said it before as well that if you’re not having fun while you sin then you’re not doing it right! HA! Well, not only is that true, but I learned this week that it is also fun to illustrate sin in a sermon. (Sin IS fun by the way…for a season. Sin might be fun for a season but it’s never fulfilling!)
On Sunday, we concluded our sermon series called “Our Father: Praying Prayers That Matter.” In this message we focused on the last two phrases of the Lord’s Prayer, starting with “Forgive us our sins.” In this clip I use a target and a locked and loaded paintball gun to illustrate sin. We said “Purity from our sin and power over sin are both at the heart of our Father.”
