How much do we honor, revere or fear the name of God? Judging by how we so flippantly throw it around, I think we could at least say we don’t honor it as much as we could!
On Sunday at Element Church we started a new series called “Our Father: Praying Prayers That Matter.” In this series we are taking the Lord’s prayer and looking at how it applies to our lives. The Lord’s Prayer is not a mandate for how we should pray but a model of what prayer should look like. It’s not a prescription to get what we want from God but some principles that will grow our relationship with God. Prayer is not as much about what we say or the words we use but WHO we are praying to.

This past Sunday we talked about our position in our prayers. We said, “Our position in our prayers is more important than our position in our prayers.” We asked the question, “How does my position affect my prayers?” And when I say “position,” I’m not talking about our physical posture but our relationship with the Father. In this clip, we talk about how our position establishes authority in our lives. That just the name of God and how big He is sets up our lives to pray prayers that matter.
