Element Church: Volunteer Of The Week

Hey Element Church! Meet Courtney, this week’s Volunteer of the week. Courtney was nominated by Kat, our Groups Director who said, “Courtney has stepped out to lead a group focused on mental health, covering depression, anxiety, and suicide ideation. She has led by trial and error, willing to change the structure to be a better servant to those who are there. Courtney’s heart beats for the broken-hearted among us; she desires to help people find fullness in who God is. It’s not been easy, but she has risen to the challenge!”

Courtney has been attending Element for about 4 years with her sister, and her sister’s kids. She is a Quality Reviewer at Allstate and enjoys singing, playing piano, driving, hanging out with her son, and learning new things.

When asked why she serves here at Element, Courtney said, “I started serving because it was a next step, but it quickly turned into something I love to do now. My group was born out of a very dark season of my life, but God wasn’t done with me no matter how far I had walked away. Serving gives me the chance to help others that are battling things God has helped me overcome. It also gives me the chance to help people connect together and have people to walk through life with and to let others know that there is always hope.”

Courtney, you are a major part of people experiencing life to its fullest in Christ! Thank you so much for what you do. IT MATTERS!
