Element Church: Volunteer Of The Week

Hey Element Church! Meet Melody, this week’s Volunteer of the week. Melody was nominated by Eiron, one of our Pastoral Assistants who said, “Melody serves in 2 ministries at Element! E:KIDZ and the Food Pantry! Melody has been a big part of the success of the food pantry, Melody not only serves but is a leader as well. She is a hard worker and an amazing follower of Christ! She is always ready to lend a helping hand and go above and beyond. I appreciate all you do for Element Church Melody, Thank You so much for your leadership and friendship to all who walk through those pantry doors!”

Melody has been attending Element Church for almost 4 years with her husband Bill. She is an Administrative Assistant and enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, cake decorating and riding 4-wheelers at her cabin.

When asked why she serves here at Element, Melody said, “Other than visiting church occasionally with friends as a child and being saved in 3rd grade during one of those visits, I grew up unchurched and never knew what it meant to really belong to a church until I met my husband Bill and his family. They were the first real contact I had with a Christian family who served their church regularly and it was by their example I learned that to be truly fulfilled and grow in my relationship with Christ, I had to serve Him, His church and His people. I love the team I get to work with in the Element Food Pantry every week, they work so hard and are so generous with their time and talents; I’m honored to work alongside them. I get so much joy from the members of the community we are able to serve, talk with, laugh with, pray for, or that have even prayed over me, it’s a very humbling experience. I love seeing and hearing about the impact Element Church has in our community, across the state, even the world, and to be just a tiny part of that impact makes me proud to call Element home.”

Melody, you are more than a tiny part of that impact! Without you and people like you we could not do what we do as a church. Thank you for your service to God here. What you do MATTERS!
