Hey Element Church! Meet Shawn, this week’s Volunteer of the week. Shawn was nominated by Taylor, our Lead Producer, who said, “Shawn has really made an impact in our Production ministry. Not only is he able to learn a lot quickly, but he is also able to help lead our team at a high level. He has a servant’s heart and I really appreciate how much he cares about Element and our Production team.”
Shawn has been attending Element for 1 year with his wife Darci and their son Elden (and a baby on the way!) He is a school psychologist for the district and enjoys woodworking, spending time with his family, and football.
When asked why he serves here at Element Church, Shawn said, “I started serving at Element because I had felt God calling me. Prior to Element, I hadn’t served in a church for a while. Before serving I felt disconnected from fellow Christians and I didn’t feel active in my faith. Since serving at Element, I feel God is using me in my strengths and has placed me where he wants me to be.”
Shawn, I am so glad that you are pursuing your calling to serve. When you serve on the Production Team you are a direct connection to the sermon and leading worship. You may not be on the stage, but your role matters just as much. Thank you for what you do!
