Element Church: Volunteer Of The Week

Hey Element Church! Meet Katilyn, this week’s Volunteer of the week. Katilyn was nominated by Lesley, our Children’s Ministry Assistant, who said, “Our Toddlers room can be a very active place.  Keeping up with a dozen toddlers can be a daunting task for any normal person, but Katilyn has always been exceptional at making our Toddler room a calm and welcoming place for our littlest ones.  When you walk into you will often find Katilyn snuggling littles while drying tears or engaging in active play.  She is always attentive to the needs of every child and she is never afraid to be silly and help the kids feel at ease. One of the reasons that I nominated Katilyn is her ability to welcome new volunteers.  Katilyn is a pro at training new volunteers, often sharing her tips and special ways to connect with each child.  We are so blessed to have a volunteer like Katilyn who shares so much love and care for our kids in E:KIDZ.”

Katilyn has attended Element for 8 years. She works as a nurse at the Life Care Center and will soon be getting her registered nurse’s license! She enjoys reading, sewing, and knitting.

When asked why she serves at Element Church, Katilyn said, “I started serving about five years ago because I could see the work God was doing in the community and I wanted to be a part of it. I love serving with the toddlers and being able to love on and hold them makes me feel just full of joy.”

Katilyn, you bring us so much joy by your service to God through Element. Your dedication and commitment to loving God’s kids and their families is amazing. Thank you for all you do. IT MATTERS!
