Hey Element Church! Meet Alyssa, this week’s Volunteer of the week. Alyssa was nominated by Brendan, our Youth Pastor who said this: “Alyssa is such a wonderful influence in Fusion. She has a personality and light that attracts students to her, and a heart to see them live their best life. She’s consistently interacting with students with the intent of seeing them become more and more like Christ.”
Alyssa has been attending Element with her family for 6 years. She is a full-time mommy and enjoys anything outdoors. As a family, they love spending time at the lake and camping. She also enjoys archery, painting, and writing.
When asked why she serves at Element Church, Alyssa said, “After attending services at Element for so long I knew I needed a next step. My Grandmother passed away a couple years ago and Element was a great help during that dark time. I knew I had to give back. I have a big heart and a massive love for people. Our youth is so important, and Jr. High is such a difficult transition and time for most kids. I’ve experienced a lot of struggles in my life, and through Fusion I am able to use those struggles to help show God’s love and light to kids going through difficult times. Somedays hearing the struggles these kids are facing is difficult, but the fact they know they can come to Fusion and trust me to share their struggles with is so rewarding!! Being able to walk along side by side with the kids of Fusion through their journey of faith, and following Jesus is really is why I love volunteering!”
Alyssa, as a father of three daughters who are a part of Fusion I am so thankful for leaders like you to pour into them. Thank you for allowing God to redeem your own struggles to make a lasting impact in the lives of our students. What you do MATTERS!
