Hey Element Church! Meet Rebecca, this week’s Volunteer of the week. Rebecca was nominated by Kat, our Groups Assistant who said this: “Rebecca’s compassion for others and her desire to help them grow in their faith is so incredible. Our mission for Groups is to guide people to connect into meaningful relationships and take their faith to the next level, and Rebecca does that with both grace and joy!”
Rebecca has been attending Element Church regularly for 3 years. She and her husband Zach lead a small group for blended families. She is a Title I school tutor at Goins Elementary and a college student at Grand Canyon University. She enjoys running, reading, and doing activities with her family in her free time.
When asked why she serves here at Element, Rebecca said, “I serve at Element because I am able to. God is not in need of me, and will get His work done without me; but the fact that He actually desires and chooses to use me to lead others to Him and be apart of His amazing work feels so humbling in the best way. It’s uplifting, fulfilling, and exciting! Also, serving has grown my own faith as well in many ways. Serving is such an incredible experience because not only has it put me in fellowship with other Christians and has been a source of accountability in my own life, but also seeing God work in others is a constant reminder of what God has done for me, and I never want to lose sight of that!”
Rebecca, God may not need you but He is most definitely using you to make a lasting impact in His Church and Kingdom. Thank you for what you do! IT MATTERS!
