Hey Element Church! Meet Travis, this week’s Volunteer of the week. Travis was nominated by Lesley, our Children’s Ministry Assistant who said this: “I am nominating Travis for Volunteer of the week. Over the past several months I have watched him grow into an amazing leader in our children’s ministry. Travis is intentional when it comes to pouring into the children in his classroom, the volunteers he serves alongside and always has an encouraging word for our leadership and service captains.
This summer we all watched in amazement as dozens of children from Travis’s Elevate & Ignite classrooms put their faith in Jesus. The children in his care are drawn to his gentle spirit and genuine kindness. He is compassionate and has a true heart for serving God. He serves in E:KIDZ every week as a teacher in our Elevate classroom and often is the 1st to volunteer when we need additional help, often serving 2 services on the same day.
Travis also serves on the first impressions team and Kristina had this to say: ‘Travis is one of the most passionate volunteers I have ever met! It is evident that his main objective when he is serving is for someone to come to know Jesus. He is kind and generous and his love of people is obvious.’ E:KIDZ and Element Church are blessed to have a volunteer like Travis, I can’t wait to see how God continues to work in him and through him for His glory.”
Travis has attended Element Church regularly since June 2017. His daughter Ashlee started serving in E:KIDZ in July of 2018. He is a welder/fabricator and musician and loves serving Jesus and others. He enjoys reading, learning, writing/playing music, camping, hiking, and just being out in God’s nature.
When asked why he serves at Element, Travis said, “Element Church has made a tremendous impact on my relationship and walk with Christ. Element gives me the opportunity to serve Jesus as well as serve others. I’m passionate about raising up leaders who raise up leaders. I’m so thankful to be a part of Element family. Element gives me the opportunity to give back to others as they give to me. I am humbled and grateful to be given the opportunity to serve at the best Church ever!”
Travis, I’m not sure we are the best church ever but we definitely have the best volunteers ever and you are a part of that! Thank you so much for your service to God through E:KIDZ and the first impressions team. What you do MATTERS!
