This year for Easter at Element Church we will be talking about doubt. Is it okay to doubt? Many people feel like they can’t believe in God or can’t follow Jesus because they struggle with doubts about Him or what He does. But as you read the Gospel accounts of the story of Jesus you find all these different people who made their greatest discoveries about Jesus in the midst of their greatest doubts.
[Tweet “Our greatest discoveries about Jesus can come from our greatest doubts.”]
John the Baptist, whom Jesus said, “No one who ever lived is greater than he,” had massive doubts about Jesus. James and Jude, the brothers of Jesus who both wrote letters that are now included in the Bible, they doubted that Jesus was the Son of God. Thomas, one of Jesus’ closest friends said, “Unless I see the scars in his hands and side I won’t believe He’s alive.” All of those people, and more, had their doubts, but those doubts led to their greatest discoveries.
As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus this year, not only will we see that our doubts don’t stop us from believing, they can actually lead to the building of our faith!
There will be four opportunities to celebrate Easter in Cheyenne this Sunday at Element Church. 9:00 AM // 11:00 AM // 1:00 PM // 6:00 PM. All four experiences are exactly the same and a fun, relevant, secure kids ministry is available for all children infant through fifth grade.
Come celebrate Easter with us this year…even if you have doubts!
