Hey Element Church! Meet Kirsten. She is this week’s Volunteer Of The Week. Kirsten was nominated by our Pastoral Assistant, Kristina, who said this: “Kirsten serves as a leader for the Next Steps team. She has been faithfully serving at Element for the past 5 years! Kirsten is absolutely one of the most consistent and reliable volunteers we have on our team. She has a true gift of connecting with people, whether it is new people with questions, regular attenders or the team she leads. She is always very heartfelt, wearing a friendly smile and is willing to help out wherever there is a need. Thank you, Kirsten, for always being a light for others.”
Kirsten has been attending Element since the Fall of 2010, with her husband, who serves on the Safety team, her son who is our youth pastor and her daughter-in-law who serves in the Living Room. Kirsten is a secretary at Meadowlark Elementary and has worked for the school district for 16 years. She loves outdoor activities and traveling with her family.
When asked why she serves at Element Church, Kirsten said, “I serve because that is one way for me to give back to my church that has given and continues to give so much to me. Serving makes me feel like I am part of a family that is working together to serve the community we live in.”
