Hey Element Church! This is Rick and he is this week’s Volunteer Of The Week!
Rick is one of the many dedicated volunteers we have serving in the church who is almost completely behind the scenes. Rick is one of our camera operators on the tech team, as well as serving in other areas in tech as well. He spends hours each week making sure we capture great video to share with our growing online audience. Pastor Derek said, “He really takes the craft seriously and is always trying to learn new things about it. He’s a quiet guy who doesn’t seek to be acknowledged for his service and that’s exactly why I picked him.”
Rick, his wife Deana and their 8 year old son have been attending Element for about two years now. He works at Sierra Trading Post as a digital Graphics Tech, editing photos for the catalog and web. He enjoys video, photography, camping, hiking, fishing and being a role model for his son.
When asked why he serves at Element, Rick said: “I serve at Element to be more like Christ and to utilize my God given talents to help disciple through a visual format. Serving helps me grow as well. Through serving we learn humility and leadership, as well as the practice of being a good follower. It helps put balance in my life and I love watching others discover the true meaning of life through Christ.”
Thanks Rick for being a great volunteer. It is obvious that you take seriously what God has called you to do. What you do MATTERS!
