How do I put God first in my body? That was the question we answered on Sunday at Element Church as we continued our sermon series called “First.” In this series, we’re talking about putting the most important things first in our lives.
I preached from Romans 12:1-2, where Paul challenges us to “give our bodies to God.” Well, how do we do that? Yes, honoring God with our bodies affects every aspect of our physical lives. It affects our sexuality, our substance use, what we engage in for entertainment and so much more. But I wanted to focus on the often unspoken and uncomfortable subject of caring for our physical bodies.
In this clip, I talk about what it looks like to start caring for our bodies. I would encourage you to watch the entire message so you can get the full context of what was being said. Ultimately, this is not about results, it’s about our relationship with God. That if my body is an instrument of worship for God, I will choose to care for my body!
