Hey Element Church! Meet Jeff, this week’s Volunteer Of The Week. Jeff was nominated by Stephanie, our e:kids director, who said this: “Jeff has been a positive male influence in EKidz since he began coming to Element quiet a few years ago. He teaches in the Elevate classroom which is 6-8 year olds, and they can be very trying at times. But Jeff says he loves it, continues to serve and finds so much joy in it. He often fills in when we are short on teachers and is even willing to help last minute in most cases. It is volunteers like Jeff who make EKidz function and get the Gospel to the little people.”
Jeff has been attending Element for 4.5 years and works for Schluberger. When asked why he serves at Element, he said: “When I first attended Element I felt at home. I felt that the message was designed just for me, and to this day I still feel the same way. I serve because I enjoy helping others, I love kids, and I hope every time I serve that I have made a difference in the lives of the children that attend my class. When I see the kids participating in the video and worship, it brings a smile to my face. When the children all sit down to start sunday school and they want to sit close, it makes me feel that I do make a difference, and they enjoy me as a teacher. The bottom line is that I continue to do it because the children make a difference in my life, and they inspire me. Also having the teenagers that dedicate themselves to helping in the class and the awesome job they do is a motivator to me as well. I feel like I am missing something when I don’t have the opportunity to teach.”
Jeff, we are so thankful for all you do at Element Church. Your service to God is impacting children and their families for eternity. What you do MATTERS!
