In some ways that is true in our culture today isn’t it? Maybe it’s not Jesus that has a bad reputation though, as much as it is his church.
On Sunday here at Element Church we continued our sermon series called “Vacation: Driven toward a destination.” This is a series all about vision. We are answering questions like: Where are we going as a church? How are we going to get there? Who do we need to be in order to accomplish the vision? In Sunday’s message we answered the question, “How are we going to get there?” I preached from Acts 5:12-16, and we looked at three principles from the early church that kept them and will keep us headed in the right direction. We said, “Knowing where you’re going is a good thing but knowing how you’re going to get there is essential.”

In this clip we talked about building up the reputation of Jesus. Ultimately, serving our community is not about getting people to come to church but getting God’s church out to the people.
