Why Should I Take Courage?

img_0778This last week at Element Church we started our Christmas sermon series called “My Advent:  What does it mean for me?”  In this series we are looking at the Advent (which means arrival) of Jesus and answering the question of how it applies to us.  Traditionally in the Christian Church, Advent is the four Sundays leading up to Christmas and then Christmas Day or Christmas Eve itself.  Each week during Advent the church focuses on one of the true meanings of Christmas.

This week we talked about hope.  We said, “The Jews had hope because the Messiah was coming but we have hope because the Messiah has already come.”  I preached from Matthew 12:15-21 and we asked the question, “Why is there hope in the name of Jesus?”  In this clip here, I conclude the sermon talking about how we have hope because Jesus strengthens us when we are weak.  You can watch full sermons HERE.
