Why We Should Stop Believing In Chance

On Sunday at Element Church, we continued our sermon series called “Won’t You Be My Neighbor”.  In this series we are looking at evangelism from a wholistic point of view.  Evangelism is way more than just our words.  In fact, words may be the least important part of evangelism.  That when you boil it all down, evangelism and the Christian life as a whole can be summed up in the Great Commandment.  Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself.  That’s what we’re talking about in this series.  What does it look like to be a good neighbor?

This past week I preached from the story of the Good Samaritan and asked the question, What conduct is the mark of a neighbor?  We said, “Conduct, more than closeness, determines whether I’m a neighbor.”  In the clip below I challenge us on the idea of chance.  That perhaps the people we interact with on a daily basis are not in our path by chance, but are there by divine providence.  You can watch full sermons HERE.
