Why Your Past Doesn’t Limit God’s Plan For You

This past Sunday at Element Church we asked the question, “Is it okay to doubt?”  Can I doubt and still believe in God?  Can I have doubts and still follow Jesus?  The easy answer is, “I hope so!”  Because while I don’t personally struggle with questions like, “Is there really a God?” I do come to points in my life where I can easily doubt whether God is with me, if He loves me and that He can still use me.  Even for those of us who believe, we still wrestle with doubts.

In the message we looked at three places in the story of Jesus where people made their greatest discoveries in the midst of their doubts.  We said, “Our greatest doubts about Jesus can lead to our greatest discoveries in Jesus.”  There are multiple discoveries about Jesus we can make in our doubts, but the three we looked at I think are perhaps the three biggest doubts we experience about God. Does He really love me?  Can He really use me?  Is He really Lord?

In this clip here we look at how God’s plan for us is not limited by our past.  All through the Bible, the story of Scripture is laced with people that God used them in His plan in spite of their past.  Often times He used them because of their past.  That if God can use the brothers of Jesus who rejected Him to eventually write a portion of Scripture He can still use me!  You can watch full messages HERE:
