So many people want to find rest in God, the problem is we aren’t willing to live in God’s shelter.
Psalm 91:1 says, Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
Choosing to live in God’s shelter seems to have a direct correlation to finding rest in His shadow.  So how do we live in God’s shelter?  Living in God’s shelter is choosing to walk in His ways.  When I choose to live outside of the boundary of God.  When I choose to ignore His laws and commands.  When I choose to live on my own strength, under my own power going my own way, I’m never going to find rest in God.
I’m not talking about working your way to rest.  That doesn’t make any sense.  Work never leads to rest.  But I am talking about walking your way to rest.  Walking in God’s ways, living in His shelter will always lead to rest in His shadow.
If you don’t want to live in God’s shelter you won’t find rest in His shadow.
