Hey Element Church! Meet Renee, this week’s Volunteer of the Week. Renee was nominated by John, our Assistant Pastor Resident, who said this, “Renee’s courage and determination in starting a new small group this past winter season has amazed me. She is tackling the very difficult subject of forgiveness with her group, understanding forgiveness, and helping others experience healing from past hurts and wounds.”
Renee has been attending Element for over 5 years along with her niece Desiree; her boyfriend, Tony; and her brother, Kenny. She works as a cashier at Target, also volunteers on the First Impressions team, and has “mad cooking skills!”
When asked why she serves here at Element, she said, “I serve because it makes my heart feel worthy. I serve an amazing God, and I hope when people look at me, they see Him. Element helps the community and accepts you just the way you are! And I love the concept, ‘if only for the one.’ I am that one!”
Renee, I am SO excited to honor you this week as volunteer of the week! You are such an amazing and important part of our team. God has grown you in so many ways and now He is using you to help others grow! Thank you for what you do. IT MATTERS! (If only for the one!)
