Element Church: Volunteer Of The Week

Hey Element Church! Meet Steve, this week’s Volunteer Of The Week. Steve was nominated by Taylor, our Lead Producer, who said this: “Steve is a high capacity guy who I can always count on to do well. Steve is one of my core video production guys and he makes everyone around him better whether that is communication, striving for excellence, cracking a joke by reminding me that his Chicago Cubs won the World Series last year, or seeking out better understanding of our gear so he can help me troubleshoot or improve on things. I am very thankful to have Steve around.”

Steve has been attending Element since the Carmike Movie Theater days (2008) with his wife Annie, who serves as a greeter and their 3 children.  Steve works for a technology company called Green House Data in the solution architecture group and he likes to read and collect retro-tech equipment from days long past.

When asked why he serves at Element, Steve said, “I serve at Element as a way to connect with others with similar interests, backgrounds and walks of life. I have also found that serving is one way for me to seek spiritual nourishment. Serving make me feel like I am a contributing part of a church that cares about people in unique and often progressive ways. Serving turned into a blessing for me when I figured out it helps others to know the Lord, and that is perhaps the best feeling there is.”

Steve, you are a blessing to us!  You are such a joy to have on the team and I love seeing how God is using you to impact others.  Thank you for what you do…IT MATTERS!
